2014 PBC Pro-Am



2014 Pittsburgh Basketball Club Pro Am Summer League







The 2014 Pittsburgh Basketball Club Pro Am Summer League will begin June 23, 2014 at the brand new Montour Athletic Complex . The league is certified by the NCAA for Division I competition and will feature many of the top players from area Division I schools Pitt, Duquesne, Robert Morris and West Virginia.


In addition, many of the top players from our area High Schools attending other Division I schools will also participate as well as several players with ties to the Western PA basketball community who have either completed there eligibility or are returning to the area from playing in Europe are also expected to be participating. Participation is by invitation only in accordance with NCAA certification procedures.


Schedule and roster information will be coming soon. In the mean time here is a brief rundown on the 2013 Pro Am Summer League. Below are a few answers to some FAQ’s about the league.

LOCATION: Montour High School


ADDRESS: 225 Clever Road


DATES: June 23,25,30, July 2,9, 14,16

PLAYOFFS: July 21,22,23,2014

Times: 1st game tips at 7:00 PM.  2nd one tips at 8:15. There will be 2 games per night in 2 gyms

ADMISSION: There is no charge to attend the games

SEATING: Seating is limited, first come, first serve. We encourage you to arrive early for the better seats!

PARKING:  .Ample parking is available around the Montour campus.

Autographs and Photos- Most of the players are usually more than accommodating as it relates to posing for a picture or signing an autograph for the many fans who attend the games. We ask all to provide common courtesy in this area and use good judgment when doing so. IE- Halftime of a tight game at the water cooler may not be the best time to do this!

SCHEDULE: Game schedule will be released under separate cover

Rosters: Team Rosters will be released under separate cover.

Certification: The league is certified as a Summer League for Division I competition by the NCAA.

ELIGIBILITY: Participation is by invitation only. Our league certification allows the area Division I coaches to attend the league to observe there players.

Accordingly, the following rules must be observed as it relates to participation in the league to allow our Division I coaches the opportunity to observe there players.

1. No players who are considered possible recruitable student athletes are eligible to participate. This includes current Junior College athletes with eligibility remaining.

2. Athletes still in High School are not eligible to participate as they are considered recruitable student athletes.

3. High school graduates of the class of 2014 are classified per the NCAA as potential recruitable student athletes until they have enrolled for classes at their respective college. If you fall under these criteria, proof of summer class registration at your college of choice MUST be provided to the league to be eligible to participate. (Fall Class registration will not meet this criteria)
